It’s only one more sleep till Santa so for us in the Lab, it’s time to wind down and enjoy the festivities.
For me today, as well as festive drinks with friends, this will feature heavily - yes, I may now be 30 years of age but there is something strangely exciting about tracking Santa in real time. Back in my day, he had only just got email in the North Pole......
Santa tracking aside, this year has been an exciting one for us in the Lab - there are some new faces to the team, Tom has gone travelling (and making some pretty epic memories, follow his journey at www.badventuring.com) but probably the biggest changes have been to the way we work so that we continue to stay true to our principles of being transparent and working out loud, whilst showing the world how we feed into Bromford’s strategy. 2017 may have been quiet on the test front or wacky ideas, but there has been a huge amount of work behind the scenes to make sure that in 2018, we can hit the ground running and do what we do best!
Next year is definitely already shaping up to be very exciting as we kick off our exploration work as part of programmeOne and delve deeper into our persona work. This is something we are really keen on, particularly in looking at how we harness our Neighbourhood Coaching model to constantly feed in the insights and knowledge they are gaining from being out in their localities and talking with residents.
We’re also really excited to already have some ideas for tests in mind with partners such as Hey Landlord and EHAB, with many more in discussion or yet to be explored. There are also some exciting opportunities to work together with organisations such as HACT, National Housing Federation and Halton Housing to continue to look at the sector and generate positive change so we can continue to deliver housing and much needed services in the most effective way, not just for our businesses, but our customers. Plus, we are really looking forward to Bromford's new partnership with Merlin Housing Society and all the exciting opportunities this will bring for everyone involved!
So with all this in mind, all that remains is to wish everyone a very Merry Christmas and Happy New Year from all of us here at the Lab. We hope you have enjoyed what we put out there in 2017 and look forward to you all joining us all for the ride in 2018!
Now, I'm going back to track Santa - see you all in the New Year!
